The Venice Art Walk is an annual event held for the past 20 years in the Los Angeles Art Community of Venice Beach. The event's goal is to raise funds for the Venice Family Free Medical Clinic. The Art Walk is not a sidewalk art fair. Local Venice artists, many of international reputation, open their studios to the public during a weekend in May. Each person who joins the Art Walk makes a donation to the Clinic and the artists donate a work of art to a silent auction which is held to raise money during that same weekend.
It is an honor to be invited to particiapte as an artist in this annual event, and this year, being its 20th anniversary, 5 artists were selected to be interviewed for the Venice Family Clinic Website. I was honored to be one of the five invited to be interviewed and this video is the result.
